| Michael Barrett, owner and operator of "Expressions" has been serving the photography needs of families in Kansas City for the last 18 years.
He shot his first wedding at the age of 19, and has been continually perfecting his techniques ever since. Although he specializes in weddings, he also enjoys working with young people in school settings as well as senior sessions. Family portraiture and events round out his offerings. With a personality that's both energetic and fun, he always makes his clients feel at ease in front of his lens. Michael changed the name of his studio from "Barrett Photo" to "Expressions" in 1994 to better fit the style of work he is now doing. As Michael put it, "a lot has changed in the last 15 years. It was time our named changed to better fit our current style." Michael Barrett looks forward to the exciting challenges of the next 18 years and beyond. Denise Findley started out as an assistant in 2004. In the last 3 years she has become a valuable part of the Expressions team. In addition to helping with posing and equipment set up and tear down, she is now a second shooter with a style and passion all her own.
Denise is responsible for many of the candids that take place on the wedding day. She spends a great deal of her time in the bride’s room and elsewhere capturing the emotions that complete the wedding story.
“I really love being a part of the day”, Denise commented. “In addition to capturing the behind the scene images, I especially like to do the little things that help to make our bride’s day even more comfortable. Whether that is holding her dress, getting her a drink or whatever else she needs.” |
